Where the stone comes from

At White Buddha Temple, on the eastern shore of Qinghai Lake, twenty Gelug monks spent fourteen days building a sand mandala for Mahāvairocana, the Buddha of all-illuminating light. They worked from December 4 to 18, 2025.

Your stone was gathered during those same days, from the vein that gives the ceremony its sand, and blessed by the same hands. The mandala itself went back to the water when it was finished. What you wear is stone from that vein.

The Bijala Touch

Turn the wheel

Turning a prayer wheel is one of the oldest gestures in Tibetan practice. This one is scaled to the thumb.

01 Find it with your thumb.
02 Turn it three times, slowly.
03 Let your breath follow.
04 Go.

You don’t wear the sand. You turn it.

Turn the wheel, turn your luck.
