White Buddha Temple · December 2025
A blessing we carry forward.
For fifteen days, twenty Gelug monks made a sand mandala for Mahāvairocana. Grain by grain, the pattern took shape. Then it was swept away.
At the close of the ceremony, the monks placed a portion of the sand in our hands. That relationship to the temple continues through the pieces we make.
From the ceremony
Come a little closer.
The monks, the mandala, the days around it. Filmed at White Buddha Temple, 4–18 December 2025.
