A blessing we carry forward.

White Buddha Temple · December 2025

A blessing we carry forward.

For fifteen days, twenty Gelug monks made a sand mandala for Mahāvairocana. Grain by grain, the pattern took shape. Then it was swept away.

At the close of the ceremony, the monks placed a portion of the sand in our hands. That relationship to the temple continues through the pieces we make.

Our promise to White Buddha Temple

From every batch of mandala sand jewelry, we will donate 5% of proceeds to White Buddha Temple, where the mandala is made and the sand is blessed.

The Bijala Touch

A moment of your own.

Hold the locket. Turn its centre slowly. Take a breath, and keep someone or something in mind.

A few things you may be wondering

Where does the sand come from?

The sand comes from a Diamond-Realm mandala made by twenty Gelug monks at White Buddha Temple in Qinghai, 4–18 December 2025. You can see the ceremony on The Blessed Sand® page.

Can I open the locket?

The sand compartment is permanently sealed and is not designed to open. Both lockets rotate: turn the center while making a wish or saying a prayer.

How do I care for it?

Keep your piece away from water, perfume and lotion. Store it separately and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.

When will my order arrive?

US shipping is free. Shipping to Europe, Japan & Rest of the World is $15 USD. Import duties are covered. In-stock products dispatch within three business days. We email tracking when your piece ships.

What if it is not right for me?

You may return an unworn piece in its original packaging within 14 days of delivery. You cover return shipping. If it arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days; we cover the return and arrange a replacement or refund.
