A mandala
you can wear.
The mandala at White Buddha Temple gave us the outline: circles, a square and four gateways. We brought those shapes into silver, with moissanite following the edges.
The centre holds two carats of the sand the monks gave us. It turns within the frame, revealing the patterned reverse when you turn it over.

There’s a pattern on the reverse, too. Turn the centre in its frame to bring it forward, or leave the sand and moissanite facing out.

The sparkle.
Moissanite is set along the mandala-inspired outline. Around it, polished edges and small scrolls give the silverwork its texture. The base is 925 sterling silver, finished in 14K gold plating or shiny rhodium silver.
A fine chain carries the pendant. The two carats of blessed sand are sealed in the turning centre.

We designed the necklace in New York, bringing the temple mandala into a piece we wanted to wear every day. Tibetan craftspeople in Qinghai shaped the silverwork.

From White Buddha Temple
We joined twenty Gelug monks at White Buddha Temple from 4–18 December 2025, as they made a Vajradhātu sand mandala for Mahāvairocana, the Great Illuminator Buddha.
At the end of the ceremony, they placed a little of the sand in our hands. We sealed it in silver so you could carry it with you.

Where does the sand come from?
The sand comes from a mandala created by twenty Gelug monks at White Buddha Temple, 4–18 December 2025. You can watch the ceremony on our Ritual page.
Can I open the locket?
The sand compartment is permanently sealed and is not designed to open. Both lockets rotate: turn the centre while making a wish or saying a prayer.
How do I care for it?
Keep your piece away from water, perfume and lotion. Store it separately and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.
When will my order arrive?
US shipping is free. Shipping to Europe, Japan & Rest of the World is $15 USD. Import duties are covered. In-stock products dispatch within three business days. We email tracking when your piece ships.
What if it is not right for me?
You may return an unworn piece in its original packaging within 14 days of delivery. You cover return shipping. If it arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days; we cover the return and arrange a replacement or refund.
